Formwell · Questions
Limits, the name on the page, and what the plans change.
The three subjects people ask about before they build anything. Open a question to read the answer — nothing here hides behind a form.
Limits
How much a form can collect
What the free plan allows, what counts as a response, and what happens when a required question is left empty.
Is there a cap on how many responses a form can collect?
Not on the free plan. A published form keeps collecting for as long as its link is live, and the responses view grows with it, one row per visitor.
How many forms can I create?
As many as the work needs. Start a new form for each client, project or intake round rather than reusing one and sorting the answers out afterwards.
What counts as a response?
One completed submission of a published form. Opening the link and reading the questions is not a response, and neither is a reply someone starts and then leaves.
What happens when a required question is left empty?
The form holds the submission and points at the question that is missing. Nothing is recorded until the required questions have answers, so a row is always a complete reply.
Branding
The name on the page
Where Formwell’s name appears on a free form, what taking it off changes, and what stays the same on both.
Where does Formwell’s name appear on a free form?
At the foot of the published page a visitor answers. Your title, your intro and your questions are the form; the name sits under them as the one thing the free plan adds.
What changes when the name comes off?
The page your visitor sees carries only your title, your intro and your questions. Nothing else about the form, the link or the answers moves.
Does branding change how answers arrive?
No. Responses are the same rows in the same view, in the order they are sent. The name on the published page is the only difference.
Plans
What the two higher plans change
Two things move between plans. Everything else about writing a form and reading the answers stays exactly where it is.
What do the two higher plans change?
Two things: the Formwell name on the published page, and how much a form can collect. The builder, the input types, the templates, the drafting and the responses view are the same on every plan.
Does the free plan run out?
No. Unlimited forms and unlimited responses stay free, with Formwell’s name on the page. That is the trade, and there is no end date on it.
Who are the higher plans for?
The two cases the free plan does not cover: forms your clients see, where another company’s name at the foot of the page is wrong, and collection at volume, where a form is standing in for a crowded inbox.
