Formwell · Features

From one written question to a link that collects answers.

The builder is a document, the answer types are a closed set of seven, and the link is the only thing a visitor needs. This page walks the whole path once.

Input types

Seven blocks, and the wording picks which one.

Every question line is read for the shape of the answer it wants. “Where should we send the invoice?” becomes an email block because an address is what it asks for; “How many seats?” becomes a number. A closed set of seven is what keeps a Formwell form quick to answer — the visitor has met every shape before.

Two small settings turn a list of blocks into a form that gets finished: a required mark on the two or three answers you cannot work without, and a help line under a question whose wording carries a condition.

  • Short answerOne line of text
  • Long answerA paragraph of text
  • EmailChecked for a valid address
  • NumberDigits only
  • Multiple choiceOne answer from a list you write
  • CheckboxA single yes or no
  • DateOne calendar day

Change any block from the list beside the question. A choice block carries the options you write, in the order a visitor reads them.

Sharing

One link, one page, nothing to install.

Publishing gives the form its own address. The page a visitor opens carries your title, your intro and your questions in the order you wrote them — nothing between them and the answer they came to give.

Because it is a URL, anywhere that takes a link will do: an email, a proposal, a message, a page you already run. No account is needed to answer.

  1. Publish

The form gets one address. Copy it from the panel beside the editor.

  2. The visitor answers

Required questions hold the submission until they are answered, so a row is always a complete reply.

  3. The answer lands

It appears in the responses view as a row, against the question it belongs to.

Responses

Every answer as a row, every form with a count.

The responses view lists your forms with the count beside each one, newest response first. Open a row and you have read one person’s whole reply, top to bottom.

When the work continues somewhere else, copy the row — or the set of rows — into the document where you will act on it.

AI drafting

Describe the form. Start from the questions.

Say who the form is for and what you need to know. You get a starting set of questions, each with a suggested answer type, and you can change the wording of any of them before the form goes out.

  • The draft is a starting position: every question stays editable.
  • Each draft is built from the words you send with it.
  • Nothing is saved or published until you take the draft into the editor.

One or two sentences is plenty.
